In 2003, Sally Sohn debuted her designs through the Asian community in Los Angeles, where she developed a reputation for designing and manufacturing beautiful, made-to-order, fine jewelry. Soon thereafter, Sally's designs were introduced to a larger market nationwide when her admiration for antique artifacts was rekindled during her travels Inspired by her new findings, Sally experimented and broadened the scope of her designs. It began with a vintage pocket watch, which she refurbished with exquisite jewels. Sally's design was inspired by Salvador Dali's paiting, The Persistence of Memory, to invoke the theory that in life, time is not fixed, but rather a relative matter. It was then, in 2006, that the Sally Sohn collection was conceived to impart an intimate concept of taking a forgotten item, modernizing its inner beauty and giving it a new presence. Sally Sohn currently resides in Los Angeles. |
