Janette Wilkinson and Jana Erwin, the creators of NEST, wanted to create a jewelry label that embodied extravagance with an organic feel. They were inspired by their grandmother, an artist herself who had a great eye and taught them how to take something old and give it a fresh life.

Janette Wilkinson, a former electrical engineer and semiconductor manufacturer, decided it was time for a career change after 10 years of working in an industry that restricted her love for fashion. Janette and Jana Erwin, an interior designer and owner of Classic Design Inc., joined forces. Jana Erwin's keen eye and attention to fine details allowed her to easily adjust to the fashion industry.
